You’re invited to celebrate the arrival of the ketch, Golden Rule, in Friday Harbor. She will be stopping over on her way from the Vancouver Wooden Boat Show to the Victoria Classic Boat Festival. Purchased by the Quakers in 1958, she gained international recognition for her attempt to sail into the nuclear test zone in the Marshall Islands. This action generated world-wide attention, and contributed to the adoption of the Limited Nuclear Test Ban Treaty in 1963.

Wednesday, August 31, 2016:

10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Tours aboard Golden Rule in the Port of Friday Harbor. Visit with the crew and learn more about her history.
