Need A Mountain by Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer
Local singer/songwriters, Dave McGraw and Mandy Fer, wrote “Need a Mountain” for the Campaign for Mount Grant Preserve because, as they stated, “it’s near to our hearts and home that has inspired us deeply. It would mean the world to us if you considered donating (any amount helps!) to ensure the protection of this stunning island landscape.” Check out their video, shot solely atop Mount Grant Preserve, above.
If you would like to drive to the top, the preserve will be open for driving the last two Sundays of October (23rd & 30th) and then switch to a holiday schedule. The preserve is open for hiking 7 days a week.
Contact Tanja at (360) 378-4402 or email tanjaw [@] sjclandbank.org if you have questions about the schedule.
The Campaign for Mount Grant Preserve is not yet completed. Approximately $325,000 remains to be raised for completion of the property acquisition and a dedicated stewardship fund to care for the preserve into the future. For anyone who has not participated in the Campaign, please click here to donate online, or phone the Preservation Trust at 360-378-2461.
