Hello Oakies! I hope you all have been enjoying the work party respite and are ready for some Fall Planting Fun atop Cady Mountain! Under the guidance of Land Steward, Eliza Habegger, The Salish Seeds Project had a fruitful season and has many native species seeds and transplants for the Preserve’s Garry oak restoration areas.
- When?
Sunday, October 30
10:00am to 2:00pm - RSVP required (send an e-mail to tanjaw [@] sjclandbank.org).
- Where?
Base of Cady Mountain Preserve – turn on to Cady Mountain Road off of West Valley Road. We’ll meet at the triangle junction about 100 yards from West Valley. - What?
Sow native seed
Transplant native species - Bring/Wear?
Gardening gloves
Narrow trowel or similar planting tool, if possible
Weather appropriate clothing
Water
*We’ll supply snacks and some tools!
