Post San Juan is the Chamber’s Featured Member for the month of December. Here’s more about that from owners Jim and Pam Cromer…

Pam & I first ventured to San Juan Island in mid-1990 when we were married at a bed & breakfast in Friday Harbor. We were both working for a major Home Center chain while living in Seattle and would often spend long weekends in Friday Harbor to escape the commotion of the big city and corporate America.

We were both transferred to the corporate office back in North Carolina in late 1990 ‘s where we spent the next 11 years until corporate life and 40 plus years in retail told me it was time to retire. Knowing that I was not going to go quietly into the night I started looking at small business to acquire. As luck (and fate) would have it I came across the listing for Post San Juan Mailing and Card Shop and a few short week later we were back in the area that meant so much to us. It is hard to believe that six years have passed since that major change in our lives and we could not be happier.

Post San Juan was established in the mid 1990’s and although it changed hands a few times (I believe we are the 4th owners) it has stayed pretty much the same as it began; offering private mail boxes, FedEx, UPS and Post Offices service to the local community.

Our Goal and commitment is to offer outstanding Customer Service, Mailing and Shipping options, Private Mail Boxes and a unique mix of Greeting cards.

We have worked hard to find unique greeting cards suppliers across the country and locally and have tripled our offering to fill our customer’s needs, this along with our local artist card selection allows us to offer a variety of options.

Over last few years we have invested in up to date technology to insure we are providing quick efficient shipping options for all our customers service needs. We are an Authorized Shipping location for the US Post Office, FedEx and UPS which has helped us minimize the impact of continual price increases passed on from all carriers. Being an Authorized Shipping location allows us to receive all pre-paid return packages for all carriers without the hassle of charging our customers a service fee.

We Offer Private Mail Boxes with a secure environment for box holders to receive not only their mail but all packages they receive from vendors. We continue to expand our number of Private Mail Boxes; we serve not only the local community but customers around the world.

Many of the local business use our services to help them manage and run their day to day needs of mailing and shipping and we thank them and all those who have supported our efforts in providing outstanding service and support.
