We are moving into the second week of winter playoffs. Many exciting things going on. Hope you can get out and watch some Wolverine Playoff action.
Below is an update on the post season opportunities for our Wrestling, Girl’s Basketball and Boy’s Basketball winter sports teams:
- Wrestling – Four of our Wrestlers will be moving on to the Regional Wrestling tournament in Adna, at Adna High School, this Saturday, February 11. They earned this opportunity by placing first or second at the sub-regional event this past weekend in Darrington. Those moving on are James Guard, Jesse Payne, Jordan Lawson, and Weston Swirtz. All will be competing for a chance to move on to the State Wrestling Tournament next weekend in Tacoma. Congratulations to these four athletes and good luck on Saturday. Visit our league website at http://www.nw1a2bathletics.com/ for more information on seeding and brackets.
- Girls Basketball – On Wednesday, February 8, our girls defeated Seattle Lutheran in the Play-In game portion of the 2B Bi-District Tournament. They will now move into the double elimination portion of the tournament and travel to play La Conner at La Conner High School, tonight February 10 at 6:15. Win or lose the girls will play again at Sedro Woolley on 2/15. The Bi-District bracket is posted at http://www.nw1a2bathletics.com/ Use the girls basketball tab to access the playoff information.
- Boys Basketball – Like our girls, our boys also won their Play-In Game of the 2B Bi-District Tournament on Thursday, February 9 vs. Crosspoint. They will now also be in the double elimination portion of the tournament and travel to Orcas, for a 4:30 match-up with the Vikings. If you decide to go watch, get there early, should be a good crowd on hand for this one. Win or lose the boys will also play at Sedro Woolley on 2/16. The 2B Bi-District bracket is posted at http://www.nw1a2bathletics.com/ Use the boys basketball tab to access the playoff information.
