Another deep tragedy strikes our intimate community. Dave was an exceptional man, father, craftsman, friend, I’m sure husband. He was decent, kind, would help anytime he could, and had a smile on that handsome face always. I had such hope at the fundraiser that maybe THIS time a miracle would happen. That was a very positive event and I could see he and the family were touched by how loved he was. I think he had more time than he expected, but never enough. And I only knew him casually, and my husband professionally. It was evident even casually what a wonderful person he was. I am so sorry for his family and our community
Another giant has fallen and our island community is going to miss him. Dave was always the courteous, helpful voice at Island Glass, and we, too, had hope at the fair building gathering, fellow islanders pitching in to add our energy to his recovery. We hope it helped in any way possible. Farewell Dave, our thought are with you, your family and friends.
