Position: EDC Program Coordinator
Job Purpose: To coordinate the development, scheduling, marketing, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of EDC programs, with a focus on trades training programs.
Reports to: EDC Director
Description of Duties and Tasks: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, and other duties may be assigned:
Required
- Coordinates assigned programs including developing schedules for instructors, arranges facilities including classroom/electronic setup, collects, compiles & distributes survey data, sets up events and workshops.
- Coordinates and implements trades training programs at the EDC: develops curricula and schedules, creates and deploys marketing efforts, arranges facilities including classroom/electronic setup, collects, compiles & distributes survey data, coordinates students participating in training programs, reports out to EDC Board, community groups and funders.
- Coordinates and implements trades apprenticeships with San Juan County businesses.
- Creates and maintains current brochures, applications, web resources, and other program marketing materials.
- Works with EDC Director to assess community needs based on input from professional associations, participants and industry professionals to develop or revise programs.
- Answers phone and email correspondence, and provides customer service for EDC office.
Qualifications: Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
Required • Effective communications skills, including tact and diplomacy • Strong writing skills • Effective development skills, including fundraising and funder development • Strong computer skills in standard office software applications, including all Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint), and ability to learn new software applications • Attention to detail and timeliness • Ability to work under pressure and self-direct • Ability to coordinate all aspects of programs, and to interact effectively with students, funders, business owners, and agencies • Ability to travel around San Juan County and Washington state • Ability to create and maintain program marketing materials • Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information and materials (non-disclosure agreement required) • Driver’s license/appropriate insurance and clean driving record required • Ability to maintain general jolliness in challenging situations • Ability to multi-task with frequent disruptions • Ability to commit to a set schedule
Work Experience and requirements:
Required • At least one year of successful college experience and at least three years’ work experience in administration or management, including project management. Preferred • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ work experience in administration or management. • Valid Washington driver’s license required.
Compensation: DOE with specific benefits
Type: Part-time, 30 hours/week
