New Shopping Spree Record!
Posted November 21, 2017 at 3:36 pm by Tim Dustrude
Shahn McGuire did the Lion’s Club King’s Market Shopping Spree on Tuesday afternoon and broke the previous record for dollar value. In only four minutes Shahn was able to fill shopping carts with $1,076.95 worth of groceries. The previous record of roughly $880.00 was held by Rikki Swin who did the shopping spree in 2015.
Shahn was thrilled to break the record and will be donating all of the groceries to the food bank. Congratulations Shahn!

Greetings from San Jose, CA,
Always love your stories, thanks! This one is very sweet. Does anyone ever video this event for posting- even unedited- so we can virtually join in the fun?
Thanks,
Jim
Reply: Hi Jim, thanks for the comment! Yes I managed to dig up a video of one of these events from 5 years ago. You can see it here.
