San Juan Wireless Closing
Posted March 9, 2018 at 10:55 am by Tim Dustrude
San Juan Wireless, Inc., the local Verizon Wireless and DirecTV indirect dealer, will officially close their doors on March 31, 2018, after being in business for 20 Years.
Beginning on March 8, 2018, all merchandise in the store will be discounted 40%.
Everything must go including tables, chairs, copiers, fax machine, display fixtures, cabinets and file cabinets. San Juan Wireless will be open on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for final fixture sale opportunity.
San Juan Wireless first opened for business in September, 1998. Initially, the business (San Juan Cellular Communications, LLC) was located in the Technology Center. At that time, the service offerings were AT&T Wireless and DirecTV. After a couple of years, the name changed to San Juan Wireless and relocated to the Guard Electric Building on Mullis Street where we began to offer Verizon Wireless services. What a great adventure it’s been to be a local business in Friday Harbor serving customers throughout the San Juan Islands.
Joy says, “It’s going to be sad – I have been on the phone with cellular tech support many times with a customer in front of me, and sounding surprised, the support person will ask ‘are you guys friends?’, and I’ll say, ‘yeah, we are friends with a lot of our customers’. So I really think there’s going to be a void here after we close.”
Thank you Friday Harbor!
