Larry Soll invites you to the next film in the series…
Fellow Film Buffs,
I trust that everyone who saw “Lucky” truly enjoyed it. To those who missed it, don’t let that happen again! Also please encourage your friends and neighbors to come along; the bigger the audience, the more fun we will all have. Don’t forget to tell them that the movies this year are “pay what you can”.
Our next film, on on Tuesday June 26th, is “Jane”
Documentary, Biography Rated PG 90 minutes
Award-winning director Brett Morgen tells the story of Jane Goodall, drawing from over 100 hours of never-before-seen footage (much of which was taken by her cinematographer husband Hugo van Lawick). Jane is a woman whose chimpanzee research challenged the male-dominated scientific consensus of her time and revolutionized our understanding of the natural world.
Set to a rich orchestral score from legendary composer Philip Glass, the film offers an unprecedented, intimate portrait of a trailblazer who defied the odds to become one of the world’s most admired conservationists.
