Wolf Hollow Has a Financial Need
Posted April 6, 2020 at 5:47 am by Tim Dustrude
We are all experiencing the COVID-19 crisis. Doctors and nurses are working around the clock to save lives. Grocery store workers are on the front line keeping everyone fed. People are staying at home to help prevent the spread of the virus. At the same time many businesses are closed and over 6 million people have applied for unemployment in the last two weeks. Many Americans are suffering.
Throughout all this human hardship, people’s impacts on wildlife continue and injured and orphaned animals need care. Wildlife Rehab is considered an essential service due to its role in public health and safety and in humane animal care, so we continue to be hard at work at Wolf Hollow preparing for the busy summer season.
We have adjusted to having only one staff member at a time at the center, with others working remotely, but when more animals start to arrive, we will have to increase staffing and take additional precautions to protect our personnel.
Due to the economic impacts of the virus on the whole economy, donations in the last two months are half of what we need to cover costs. We have also lost our one regular monthly income stream from our share in a business that had to shut its doors.
Baby season is about to begin. Wolf Hollow needs your financial support today to keep our doors open, our staff employed, and wildlife saved. If you can donate at this time, it will be a great gift to wildlife in need.
