A memorial service for Mrs. Champlin is scheduled for Sunday:

Mary Margaret Gavin Champlin was born April 19, 1918 to Irish immigrants in Chicago, Illinois. She met and married David Champlin in November, 1940.

Mary and Dave moved to California in 1942. She was actively involved with her family at Saint Albins Episcopal Church, Scouting as a Den Mother, Cotillion, PTA, camping, sailing and gardening.

Just got a note from Ingrid this morning (Wednesday):

Thought you’d want to know if you don’t already that the 8am sailing today (the 25th) is cancelled. A water pump problem is the cause but after your comment on visitors and their schedules (not to mention islanders trying to get off for doctor & business appointments), I thought your readers might want to know.

Update at 9:15am: The WSF says the Hyak will be back in service with the 9:35am sailing from Anacortes to Lopez and the 10:45am sailing from Lopez to Anacortes.
