It was good to run into folks on the fer­ry Sat­ur­day… friends Rose Shaw and Chris (of Christy’s Salon) vis­it­ed, as you can see. Rose was on the way to Belling­ham for a nice birth­day week­end with hus­band Bill, while Chris was explain­ing how good I would look with hair exten­sions. 🙂  ‑oo-

Ever since I saw the end of Slum­dog Mil­lion­aire, I’ve been wish­ing we could have every­body dance next to the fer­ry land­ing (since we don’t have a train sta­tion to dance in.) The Elwha’s back!

Just got a note from the Wash­ing­ton State Fer­ry folks: The Wash­ing­ton State Depart­ment of Trans­porta­tion Fer­ries Divi­sion has now com­plet­ed nec­es­sary repairs to the 144-auto fer­ry Elwha. It will return to ser­vice on the Anacortes/San Juan Islands route on Thurs­day, April 9. The  Sealth will return to the  inter-island route by reliev­ing the 34-auto Hiyu.

WSF adds back the Sidney/Anacortes run.…

After dis­cussing whack­ing the spring­time run of the inter­na­tion­al boat, Wash­ing­ton State Fer­ries announced today they will run the route, start­ing March 29th. Here’s more, from them: WSDOT Fer­ries Divi­sion (WSF) will add ser­vice hours and re-open the Anacortes/Sidney, B.C. route with the begin­ning of the spring sail­ing sched­ule on Sun­day, March 29. WSF will pro­vide  Con­tin­ue Reading
