Art unfolding….

Brightening up town on Nichols Street...hanging the pieces which depict a century of commercial fishing on the island. Way to go, Annie!

It was fun to see the colorful pieces go up, one by one, yesterday in the sun on the side of Ace Hardware. Annie Adams has another masterpiece, and it’s great that Lynn Danaher & Ace gave her a place to hang it….here’s a little note I got from Lori Stokes this morning:

Ian, I hope you can get to Nichols Street really soon to see (and photograph!) the truly wonderful mural that Annie Howell-Adams painted, with the help of Lynn Danaher and Dave Moorhouse. Our little town doesn’t have nearly enough public art, and this mural will help to fill the gap. I was truly blown away when I walked by the mural this morning and could look carefully at how creatively Annie captured this important piece of island history.  – Lori
