Sports update….

Saturday was a beautiful sunny day to get out & see our kids at work – besides the kids’ baseball & teeball games at the elementary school, four varsity sports were on-island – tennis, soccer, baseball, and softball.
The softball girls put together two ten-run shortened games as they blew past the Darrington Loggers 10-0 and 22-2. That’s Kerri Goff pitching (photo) as all the girls did well at the plate. The Logger boys fared similarly with the FHHS baseball team, as they lost two ten-runners as well.
Meanwhile, the FHHS soccer team lost 7-0 to visiting Lynden Christian; they reload for their last home game on Thursday this week with Cavalero Mid-High at 4:30.
