Every once in a while, from outa nowhere – when you least expect it & you’re unprepared…a poem comes that surprises you. We have kelp all around us here on the island, and now a poem by Yang to go with the greenery:
Kelp
by Jeffrey Yang
How easy it is to lose oneself
in a kelp forest. Between
canopy leaves, sunlight filters thru
the water surface; nutrients
bring life where there’d other-
wise be barren sea; a vast eco-
system breathes. Each
being being
being’s link.
