Celebrate Mike’s show with the Ale House

Mike Vouri as General Pickett

Mike Vouri as General Pickett

You already know that Mike Vouri is doing his final performance at General Pickett this weekend (a few tickets remain – call now at the Community Theatre), but there’s more – here’s more from Oren at the Front Street Ale House for Saturday night:

10% discount Friday evening for The Life & Times of General George E. Pickett Show ticket holders.

Front Street Ale House, the official home of Battery D Foundation, is offering a 10% discount Friday evening to everyone attending the final island performance. Stop by for dinner before the show, or join us after the show for an informal celebration with Mike Vouri at the pub.

On tap Friday will be a special brew of Pickett’s Special Ale, an Ale House original, first tapped May 22nd, 1993. The Front Street Ale House is a sponsor of Battery D Foundation, a local 501c-3 sponsor of living history programs at San Juan Island National Historical Park. Battery D organizes and underwrites the Elliott Bay Pipe Band’s appearance each spring at the Memorial Day Parade in Friday Harbor, as well as the Memorial observances at Roche Harbor each year.

Battery D’s next big appearance will be in conjunction with all the Island and visiting re-enactors celebrating the 150th anniversary of the commencement of the Pig War at the park’s Encampment Friday & Saturday July 25th & 26th. Battery D’s 1850s mountain howitzer will sound the answering salutary rounds to the arrival of the Lady Washington & the Hawaiian Chieftain, as they visit Garrison Bay to help celebrate the weekend.
