You know, the video is kinda rough – I think this is on Shindig, circa 1965, but it’s great to hear Bev Bivens & the We Five sing this Sylvia Tyson song one more time:

Thanks for posting the old We Five video! My high school folk trio took third place in our school’s talent contest by singing that song. I had cut my hair to match Bev Bivens’ style and had always been an alto so we thought we had a chance. The other songs we sang were “Walk Away Renee” by the Left Banke and Pete Seeger’s “Where Have All the Flowers Gone” by Peter, Paul & Mary. It’s funny what one remembers from high school. Can’t remember much from world history class that year, but remember everything about the talent show.
