Drop stuff in, help out!

Drop stuff in, help out!

Saw this barrel at Marketplace, so I called over at Islanders to see what the deal was – and it’s a good idea. Here’s more, from Michele Morton:

Every year teachers are found buying school supplies for their students who can’t afford them.

To help eliminate the burden on our teachers and help classroom learning, our Islanders Bank Team is sponsoring a “Gear Up For Our Schools” Campaign.

The Team hopes to collect:
Black, Blue, Green, & Red Pens School Glue & Glue Sticks
Highlighters Scissors
Water-Based Markers Rulers
Dry Erase Pens Fine & Bullet Tip Notebook & Graph Paper
White Board Erasers Spiral & Composition Notebooks
Water Color Paints Index Cards
Pencils & Sharpeners 3 Ring Binders with dividers
Colored Pencils Calculators
Erasers Pen, Thumb and Flash Drives
Pencil Pouches & Boxes Rolls of Clear Contact Paper

The Islanders Bank Team has provided collection bins for school supplies at Friday Harbor Drug, The Office Supply Store, Market Place, and Islanders Bank lobby. The campaign runs from August 12th through September 11th.

The bins will be picked up and delivered to the Superintendent’s Office to be
disbursed out to teachers in need of the donated supplies..

Please help the Islanders Bank Team “Gear Up For Our Schools!”
