Just heard about this film, which is getting good reviews as a discussion about our country’s involvement in Afghanistan – here’s the scoop:

Screening and Discussion of Rethink Afghanistan on Saturday, October 10th at 6:00pm. Join us at the Library for a free screening and discussion of the film Rethink Afghanistan.

This film “features experts from Afghanistan, the U.S., and Russia discussing critical issues like military escalation, how escalation will affect Pakistan and the surrounding region, the cost of war, civilian casualties, and the rights of Afghan women.”

Being a Vietnam Veteran, I saw the waste of lives and money for a politician driven war to spend three years over there, to return home to find that a charity had placed 5 Vietnamese families in the home next to me. We became great friends of course and reflected how sad it was that they had been forced out of thier Country by our deeds.

    Then I watched Iraq – another Vietnam
    Now Back to Afganistan?

    If you don’t have an exit strategy, don’t go.

    If we could only have the same enthusiasm in stopping Obama from committing any more troops that we had at the NOAA meetings over the whale corridor……
