Friday Harbor High (12-5) made it look easy as they scored five minutes into Thursday’s playoff game with Meridian, but the Trojans notched three in the next ten minutes & then made it stand for a 3-1 victory. Junior forward Elle Guard beat Meridian’s keeper for the early putaway, and after that the Meridian defense kept FHHS out of the net.

The loss sets up a match with Lynden Christian (4-13, and a 3-1 loser to King’s on Thursday) in Oak Harbor tomorrow, with the winner continuing in the postseason.
