This past weekend, the two eighth grade teams hosted off-island squads – the Black Tigers played Granite Falls twice in a double header (winning both by 15), while the Orange Tigers took on Orcas, coming out on top by 8.

Both teams are fun to watch. They play an up-tempo game that exploits both the lane with our big guys & the floor when passing lanes are open on the break. We like to shoot, and we like to make ’em.

The Orange Tigers completed their season with the weekend’s game; the Black Tigers take their show on the road in the Tulip Tournament in Mount Vernon this coming weekend.

Then…next year, FHHS basketball coach Rod Turnbull welcomes a great bunch of freshmen. It’s gonna be fun to watch.
