The Public Schools Foundation rolls on…

I was just checking the San Juan Public Schools Foundation website and couldn’t help but note that the Phone-a-thon raised $26,215 this past October, while the Business Promotion added $15,827. The Foundation helps fill in the gap where funding sometimes falls short – check this incredible list which I think shows they make each dollar go a long way.

The Schools Foundation’s other big fundraiser is the 17th annual Knowledge Bowl, which is going to be April 19th this year (instead of February.)

Now, here’s the deal – you don’t have to wait till these events to give – you can donate right now by clicking on the front page, clicking on the Donate Now! button, and giving.

It’s good for the kids, it’s good for the community, and it’s good for your heart.

One program that gets help: The school district's partnership with the Friday Harbor Marine Labs allows students the extra dimension of doing marine science in a research environment.

You can support the San Juan Update by doing business with our loyal advertisers, and by making a one-time contribution or a recurring donation.
