  1. Well, let’s see, I attended the first interaction with the locally based Sea Shepherd Societies opening of their Gallery, of which I am extremely supportive in their efforts to stop the criminal execution of free whales in the International Waters of their oceans by a small sect of businessmen who package these “delicious” pieces of meat from mammals that go through a lot of “pain” during their 20 minute torturous death cycle in the name of “Japan’s National Pride”. Here is a tip for next time: Get better coverage of the event, Ian was the only source of info that it was going on, unless you were already a member on the e-mail list. If you are in the promotional business of raising funds or awareness, at least have a flat screen or projector that everyone can see these important message videos, rather than a 12 inch monitor for 60 people, have some munchies, have some wine, every other gallery has them and they usually charge. Have more non-members than members. I have lived here for over 6 years and cannot assure you that the majority of people on this Island know that this self-less organization is based here and offer their support. Other than a weak video presentation, Peter’s honest, non-scripted explanation of why he is doing what he is doing and those who are his crew and associates, shows so much dedication and concern to this cause. I urge everyone to visit the new Sea Shepard Gallery next to Coho’s Restaurant and understand Sea Shepherd’s message and mission. If you are out to stop Pirates, you must think and act like a Pirate.
