Frankenstein Opens New Readers Theatre at SJCT

Nick Dear’s haunting version of Frankenstein opens San Juan Community Theatre’s new FREE readers theatre series on Friday and Saturday, October 26-27 and appropriately, Wednesday, October 31.

The series, On Book, is the brainchild of Artistic Director Susan Williams and features island actors reading new, classic and prize-winning plays on the Whittier stage each month.

In addition to Frankenstein (directed by Eric Concord), Grace Castle will direct Nothing But the Truth by Avi on Monday, November 19 and John E. Davis will direct Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol on Friday and Saturday, December 21 and 22.

All readings are at 7:30 p.m., with festival seating.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
