Getting Happy

There is an emerging science of getting happy. Researchers are studying what brings happiness, and they’re finding patterns and similarities in the behaviors of happy people that can be reproduced in depressed people with positive results that are better than antidepressants, and with no expense or side effects. The old saying “Stop and smell the roses” is grounded in some serious wisdom. The movie “Happy” which was recently shown as part of the Conscientious Projector series at the library, really tells the story, but if you don’t have that kind of time (to watch a movie), take a quick look at this list of 10 things that science says can make us happy.
