Wahoo! The San Juan Islands are designated a National Monument!

The president signed the act this morning….

On March 25, 2013, President Obama designated the Rio Grande del Norte and San Juan Islands National Monuments. These monuments are the newest additions to our National Conservation Lands. Three other national monuments were also designated.
