7th Annual Concours d’Elegance

Here’s an some updated information on Sundays event:

It’s this Sunday at San Juan Vineyards: The Sports Car Club of the San Juan Islands, in conjunction with the Rotary Club of San Juan Island, will present the 7th annual Concours d’Elegance on August 25. All interesting cars and motorcycles are most welcome, and the featured marque for 2013 will be Ford performance cars, honoring the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40.

Caterham

While the theme of Sunday’s event is “Ford Performance Cars”, British car fans will find plenty to love or admire. This 2000 Caterham Superlight R will be joined by prized examples from Jaguar, MG, Lotus, DeLorean, and Mini.

Sunday’s schedule follows. There is no charge for spectators but a $10 donation is suggested. This year’s beneficiaries are Fish for Teeth, the Family Umbrella Group, and the Rotary International’s polio eradication project.

  • 9:00 to 10:30 am – Open for Entrant Parking
  • 9:00 to Noon Coffee, Muffins, Cookies, Water for sale
  • 11:00 am Open for Spectators
  • 12:00 to 2:00 pm Lunch Available; Wine will be sold in the pavilion
  • 12:00 to 2:00 pm Music by the Argyle Street Jazz Band
  • 2:00 pm Deadline for People’s Choice voting
  • 2:30 pm Presentation of Awards
  • 3:00 pm Concours Closed, Cars can be moved
