Draft Plan for Sunshine Alley Improvements
Posted July 29, 2014 at 5:45 am by Tim Dustrude
Here is the plan for proposed improvements to the Sunshine Alley area, which was put together by Beckwith and Associates, a consulting firm from La Conner which was hired by the Town to offer up ideas on how to improve this central downtown area. All of these proposals and ideas are based on ideas gathered from local people & businesses during several brainstorming and planning meetings held at Brickworks a number of times earlier this year.
As it stands right now, these ideas are the draft plan which still needs to go to the Town Council. After they have “weighed in”, there will be a public hearing on the plan.
You can view the plan drawings and notes at this link (PDF).
(as you’re looking at the drawings in the PDF document, keep in mind that topography was not included in the street views – this would have required a LOT more computing power than time allowed, so you won’t see the street sloping downhill on “A” street toward the ferry lanes, etc… It’s all flat on the drawings, so you’ll need to use some imagination 🙂
