Local artist, Pamela Hoke, known nature artist, and active community ambassador of arts education and ecotherapy, needs your help. She was diagnosed with breast cancer May 2015. She is still in early stages of treatment and diagnosis. She has had two successful surgeries, and will be facing a fairly aggressive treatment journey through the summer and into the fall.

So far, her prognosis looks good, and she is healing with Nature through her connecting with the natural world and her art. However, Pam and her family are struggling with the financial and overall life stresses that come with cancer. Her ability to perform and share with her communities in Friday Harbor, Stuart, FL and online has been greatly hindered.

Many on the island either know her through her doctorate research in Ecotherapy under Michael J. Cohen and his school, Project NatureConnect, through her design business with her husband Tim Hoke, inVision Brand Pursuit, through her two year art gallery residency at the Ferry Landing Suites, The Nature Connection, or as San Juan Island Grange and School District volunteer and Substitute Teacher. Pam and her husband Tim are also very active supporters of the family recovery groups on the island.

You can help Pam get back to her passionate, long mission of sharing the importance of a deep emotional connection with Nature and inspiring a zest for life expressed through her powerful art, writing, and workshops.

By purchasing her artwork for yourself or for a friend, sharing her online journeys with friends, mailing her encouraging notes or gift cards, you are both participating in a passionate mission to share Nature’s intelligence and love, while helping this artist get back to her passionate purpose.

Pam’s current wish list, besides the help subsidizing her summer season income missing from her family, is purchasing updated book copies of Natural Self Discovery for a book signing, EarthPaints to begin her “Nature heals the Soul” series, athletic camp and activities for her daughter, Angela, a more comfortable bed, shipping the rest of her art studio from Florida, a garden of local flowers to paint from home, gas and grocery cards, San Juan Fitness Club passes or membership for her family to stay healthy.

Any art purchases (at www.PamelaHoke.com), tax-deductible donations (via GiveForward.com), encouraging notes, or gift cards are greatly appreciated. For more information, visit www.PamelaHoke.com, e-mail Pam, pam [@] pamelahoke [.] com, or send mail to: P.O. Box 1213 Friday Harbor, WA 98250.
