Third Lagoon offers a unique habitat for wildlife on San Juan Island. Unfortunately, over time the preserve has accumulated decades worth of plastic debris from the ocean. If not removed, these plastics and the microplastics they break down into can be ingested by wildlife, including fish that us humans and whales consume. Scientists are discovering that these plastics also bind with dangerous chemicals making the problem even worse. Come help clean up Third Lagoon and save wildlife with your friends!
