wolverine2Well it is rapidly approaching that time of the fall season again….. Playoffs are almost here. Below is information on the playoff opportunities for each sport. While the avenue and the structure of each post season opportunity varies depending upon the sport, during the next week each team will be playing for the right to advance on to the state level of the playoffs.

  • Girls Volleyball – Girls Volleyball will begin postseason play on Thursday, October 29, at the District tournament held at Mount Vernon Christian. Our girls will be playing Concrete HS at 2:30. They will enter the tournament as the number 2 seed and will have two opportunities to win at least one match in order to move on to the Bi-District 1/4 Tournament which begins on Saturday, October 31 in various locations. Where they would play next and their opponent would depend on them placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd at the District tournament. • Girls Soccer – Our girls soccer team has secured the second seed to the District 1/2 tournament by finishing 2nd in our NW1A/2B league. They will travel on November 4th to a site and opponent to be determined. Win or lose, they will play again on Saturday, November 7th. They will need to win 1 game on either the 4th or the 7th to advance to the state playoffs for the second year in a row. • Football – Our Football team has played hard and represented our school well in all of our contests this year. Although the scores do not always show it, our team has competed in each of the games they have played in. We are proud of these young men for working hard all year. While the playoffs are not in this team’s future this year, it won’t be long before they are ready to be there again.
