New Playground Open

Island Rec is pleased to announce that the new play­ground at John O. Linde Com­mu­ni­ty Park will open at 1:00pm on Fri­day, Decem­ber 23rd.

Over 40 com­mu­ni­ty vol­un­teers came togeth­er to help build Island Rec’s new play­ground at the John O. Linde Com­mu­ni­ty Park. The play­ground fea­tures a large play web, swings, slide and even a mini dozer.

Thank you to our fund­ing part­ners: San Juan Coun­ty, Town of Fri­day Har­bor, Kiwa­nis, and the Hon­ey­well Char­i­ta­ble Fund of the Com­mu­ni­ty Foun­da­tion of the Rap­pa­han­nock Riv­er Region.
