  • Location: San Juan Island
  • Dates: As soon as possible through September 22, 2017 (30 hours per week)
  • Type: Part-time, no benefits, FLSA non-exempt, Temporary, Non-represented
  • Wage: Range H-2, Step 1 – 3, $16.00 – $17.44 per hour
  • Opening Date: May 22, 2017
  • Closing Date: Open until filled

Basic Function: Assists Park Manager and Assistant Manager in the maintenance and operations of the County Parks. Works under the direction of the Park Manager. Responsibilities include care and maintenance of grounds, facilities and equipment; some public relations including visitor information and fa-cility rule education and enforcement. Must show initiative and ability to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, and a minimum of one year direct or transferable skill experiences related to the job duties and responsibilities; OR any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Related experience includes experience with grounds keeping equipment, repairs and maintenance, basic office skills, good sanitation practices, and public relations. Must have a valid WA State Driver’s license and a good driving record.
