The County currently has 2 ways for you to share your input.

First – Put Your Opinon on the Map! Literally…

The Public Comment Map at the link below gives you the chance to share your opinion about places around the county.  Do you have an idea about how you would like your neighborhood to change?  Put it on the map!  The feedback you provide with this tool will help in the direction of the Comprehensive Plan Update.

Please take a minute and tell SJ County what you think!

Second is a survey about the Comprehensive Plan Update:

Comprehensive Plan Vision Check-in Survey NOW OPEN!

2017-11-1_Survey_Flier_finalPlease participate in the Department of Community Development’s online survey regarding the Comprehensive Plan Vision Statement. The survey is intended to provide the opportunity for residents to give input on the Vision Statement. Residents that attended the October Workshops will find that this survey builds on the conversation they started at those events. Community input is vital to ensure that the Vision Statement reflects the aspirations of all county residents. This survey gives residents another way to participate in shaping the 2036 Comprehensive Plan Vision Statement.

The survey will be live until November 30.

Five areas of the Vision Statement received the majority of comments during the Pop-Up Studios and Workshops in the first week of October. These elements of the Vision Statement are Basic Needs, Energy & Resources, Economy, Natural Environment, and Transportation. Many of the questions in the survey are intended to get feedback that is more detailed on these elements of the Vision Statement.  Shaping the survey in this way is a direct result of the thoughtful input the community provided at the events in October.

A summary report of the results of this survey and the accompanying Vision Statement outreach work will be presented to County Council on December 11 and Planning Commission on December 15.  Following these presentations, the public will be able to comment on the findings as the county continues to check-in on its Vision Statement.

The survey is available here!
