San Juan Island Grange is pleased to announce the 8th annual Friday Harbor Fall Farm Parade on Saturday, October 6th. The parade will stage from 1:30 to 2:30 at the Fairgrounds, and start onto Argyle Avenue at 2:30, heading down Spring Street turning onto First Street and finally turning onto Court Street to finish near the Grange Hall.

We interpret the phrase “farm parade” very loosely, encouraging participation from gardeners, bee-keepers, backyard poultry enthusiasts, orchardists, home cooks, and any other person who wants to show support for a resilient community on our island. The result is an eclectic mix of tractors and farm trucks, horses and goats, marchers with banners and signs.

Gather along Argyle Avenue and Spring Street at 2:30 to watch the parade. Or show up at the fairgrounds before 2:30 with your walking shoes, horse, truck, tractor or wheelbarrow to get in the parade. Either way, you’ll have a lot of fun. As with all Grange public programs, it is free and open to all.
