A Message From Dr. Fishaut, Eventide Health Pediatrician

To the families and children for whom I provide care:
While there are still no proven cases of COVID-19 infection on San Juan Island, it is prudent for me to step away from seeing patients at this time. So, in an abundance of caution for myself as a higher risk individual, my family, and my community effective today I have chosen to step back from at Eventide Health for the immediate future.
I will remain in close communication with my dedicated colleagues, and, as we continue to expand telemedicine I will be available for appropriately triaged virtual appointments. I will also maintain my close working relationship with our public heath authorities and with the San Juan Island School District.
This is a time where all of us must care for one another and reduce spread of both illness and of fear. By making scientifically informed and respectful choices, we can achieve these goals. I look forward to returning to our office as soon as possible.
