PeaceHealth Peace Island Medical Center Suspends Visitor Access

FRIDAY HARBOR, Wash., March 17, 2020– In order to pro­tect its patients, their loved ones and its care­givers dur­ing the Nov­el Coro­n­avirus (COVID-19) pan­dem­ic, Peace­Health Peace Island Med­ical Cen­ter is strate­gi­cal­ly and rig­or­ous­ly restrict­ing the num­ber of peo­ple who enter the doors of its facility.

Effec­tive March 17, no vis­i­tors will be allowed to enter the med­ical cen­ter until fur­ther noti­fi­ca­tion. Spe­cial excep­tions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Loved ones are encour­aged to con­nect with hos­pi­tal­ized patients using smart phone appli­ca­tions, such as Face­Time, What­sApp, or Skype, dur­ing this peri­od of lim­it­ed face-to-face support.
