Scarecrow Contest Winners Announced

Here are the win­ners of the first-ever Scare­crow Con­test, spon­sored by the Friends of the Library and the San Juan Island Cham­ber of Commerce.

We had over 200 hun­dred vot­ers and all of the con­tes­tants received votes. The fol­low­ing three entries received the most votes.

First Place: Stel­la Maris, cre­at­ed by Susie Allen and Moey Bryant.

Sec­ond Place: Dr. Hawk­eye and Nurse Hot Lips Houli­han, cre­at­ed by Ann Bene­dict, Bette Cantrell, Fritzi Vit­ul­li, Rick Bene­dict and Alice Payne.

Third Place: Glen­da Gone Wicked, cre­at­ed by Bar­bara Mar­rett, Amy Nesler, Mitzi John­son and Bill Watson.
