It’s always good to see old islanders when they come to visit – Bronwyn Bacon was here Saturday night, Sharon Adler was here on Sunday, and it was good to see Nancy Raichlen (she’s lives here) with Holly, who teaches on the mainland during the school year.

Days like yesterday make it feel like a great idea – the Music in the Park at Fairweather Park at the Port overlooking the marina is a great way to spend a sunny afternoon – the music continues this month each Friday (5-7pm) and Sunday (2-4pm)…plan on dropping by! Here’s more.

Passing: Nancy Adkins

Nancy Adkins, 74, passed away at her home in Anacortes July 15, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. Though she was diagnosed with melanoma in 2001, Nancy never let that slow her down.
