Earlier this week, the state House & Senate released their budgets for the year. Both of them take incredible whacks into an already crippled education budget. Wednesday night, the soccer boys nearly jumped Cascade Christian, losing 4-2 as a second half surge fell just short, with goals by Pablo Lopez and Cameron Byington closing the gap. The kids are alright… musicians send $1400+ to Uganda

Friday night it was something special… in a bold move towards helping kids in Uganda, six music acts from the island (or formerly from the island) banded together onstage at the Presbyterian Church to raise funds for The Invisible Children (here’s more about the organization, the cause, and the kids it is trying to help).  Continue Reading

Wolverines skip by Lynden JVs 3-2 in OT

The Wolverines scored first at 13 minutes as Conor Lanphere drove home a pass from Pablo Lopez. Over the weekend, the Wolverine baseball team munched Darrington (Friday) and Shoreline Christian (Saturday), while the softball girls had a 2 out of 3 split with Darrington and Meridian.
