When Lyn­den Chris­t­ian swept past the Fri­day Har­bor Wolver­ines 7–0, they won them­selves a matchup with defend­ing state cham­pi­ons King’s lat­er this week. Soccer signups are this weekend!

The best time to sign up for soc­cer for this fall is this week­end at the Chil­dren’s Fes­ti­val — drop by the San Juan Soc­cer Asso­ci­a­tion’s booth at the Fair­grounds to sign up your kid (from kinder­garten to eighth grade) between 10am & 2pm. For more info, call Sher­ri at 317‑8335. ‑oo-

Last night the FHHS base­ball boys con­tin­ued their win­ning ways with a 15–1 vic­to­ry at LaCon­ner, while the soft­ball girls came up with a gut­sy four-run last inning that fell short with the Braves, los­ing 8–4. Mean­while, the soc­cer Wolver­ines came close in a dis­trict match with Nook­sack Val­ley, hold­ing them score­less at home for  Con­tin­ue Reading

Just received this note from schools super­in­ten­dent Michael Soltman.…as you know, the school board cut the fund­ing for school-fund­ed sports last week. Now, the schools are look­ing for anoth­er enti­ty to work with on this, so they’re get­ting a cam­paign ready to reach their goals, with Island Rec.
