Usually a 4-1 halftime score means the match is pretty well settled, but FHHS turned it on in their soccer game Saturday afternoon, scoring three in the second half to nearly catch a talented Lynden Christian team before running out of time, 5-4.

The scoring was led by Emma Ytander’s three goals & Mandy Turnbull’s late score off a pinpoint pass from Elle Guard that brought FHHS within one. The Lyncs got three of their five from Coryn Bajema for their first win of the season.

The girls are back in action Tuesday afternoon at home with Concrete.

Junior midfielder Hannah Starr (6) controls the ball in traffic against the Lyncs.
