San Juan Community Theatre is seeking a Director of Development. Under the direction of the Theatre’s Executive Artistic Director, and working closely with the Board of Trustees and the chair of its Development Committee, this position provides leadership for all aspects of the organization’s fundraising programs and activities.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience with development/fundraising concepts and appropriate solicitation techniques. Other qualifications include experience in marketing, project management and event planning; an ability to create, establish and maintain warm relationships with a diverse set of patrons; strong verbal and written communication skills; experience with grant writing; knowledge of database management; and a passion for the Performing Arts. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree supplemented with at least three years of related experience is required for this position.
