Schools Foundation Phone-A-Thon

In the SJ Update mailbag today, it’s Barbara Bevens writing to urge you to donate to the Public Schools Foundation…

Please give generously when the Public Schools Foundation calls you. Every penny counts toward books, supplies and classroom items that aren’t normally covered by school district funds. As you all know money is tight since the Legislature did not fully fund public education. We are facing a tight school year.

I’ve decided to do something to help. I’ve had lots of people ask me how my campaign for School Board Director is going. I attended both of the League of Women Voters Forums, but I hadn’t really decided what to do otherwise. I researched how much yard signs and digital and prints ads would cost. It made me crazy!

So, my solution is to give it to the kids! I’m donating to the Public Schools Foundation the amount I could have spent on campaign ads and signs.

That’s my campaign! It’s ALL about the kids.
