Burn Ban Lifted

Just in time for the holiday weekend, the county burn ban has been lifted

The Burn Ban for campfires and barbecues is lifted in San Juan County

As of noon on August 29, 2018, the burn ban for campfires and charcoal barbeques is lifted in San Juan County. Recent humidity levels, rising fuel moistures, and precipitation in the county have warranted a lift on the burn ban enacted last week.

We would like to remind all visitors and residents of San Juan County that this ban only applies to campfires and barbeques. Residential burning, burning of yard waste with a permit, and commercial burning, with a permit, will resume sometime in October.
