County To Recount Governor’s Race In Orcas Precinct

San Juan County has been directed by the Washington Office of the Secretary of State to recount Orcas East Precinct votes in the race for Governor of Washington State.

This direction comes following a request for a recount from a political party representative.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to RCW 42.30, that the San Juan County Canvassing Board or its duly appointed delegates will convene at 8:30 am on December 7, 2020, for the purpose of setting the date and time of a manual recount of the votes cast during the 2020 November 3, General Election for the office of Governor in San Juan County precinct Orcas East. This meeting will convene in the San Juan County Elections Office at 55 Second St, Suite A, Friday Harbor, WA.

The canvass board will again convene at 3 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2020, in the San Juan County Elections Office, to review and sign the certification documents for the recount.
