The San Juan County Conservation Land Bank is holding a volunteer event at Beaverton Preserve on Tuesday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will work to pull scotch broom, a Class B noxious weed that poses a threat to fragile ecosystems, crowding out native plants.

Bring gloves and pruners if you have them and be sure to dress for the weather.

To take part in the event, contact Tanja Williamson at 360-378-4402 or [email protected].
