A small group of San Juan Islanders have a dream — to pro­vide free trans­porta­tion to all wheel­chair-bound res­i­dents and vis­i­tors on the island. Ear­li­er this week, per­son­nel from the U.S. Coast Guard, Wash­ing­ton Depart­ment of Ecol­o­gy, and San Juan Coun­ty sur­veyed the shore­line from Lime Kiln State Park to Hen­ry Island look­ing for impacts from the oil and fuel spilled from the sunken Aleut­ian Isle fish­ing ves­sel.
