In Chicago, they schedule Cubs games at Wrigley in the middle of the day for two reasons: One, that’s when baseball is supposed to be played, and two, then people can skip work & go watch ’em.
Today, you can too — the Friday Harbor Wolverines baseball team plays at 2:45pm here against Orcas at Hartman Field, while the softball girls take on the Viking girls at the elementary school at the same time. Unlike Wrigley, our game times were set because of the ferry schedule, but like Wrigley, it’s a nice reason to see our kids do what they do well. Play ball!
